On Wednesday evening, the Sounders will face a Mexican club in CONCACAF Champions League for the 14th time since 2010 in Guadalajara. In leg one of the CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal matchup Chivas, which the Sounders won 1-0, Chivas became the fifth Liga MX team to face the Sounders in the regional tournament, joining Monterrey (twice), Santos Laguna (twice), Tigres UANL and Club America.
