Fan Favorite Roger Levesque to be recognized during pre-match ceremony
RENTON, Wash. - The Sounders FC invite fans to plan ahead to avoid traffic congestion and delays for this Sunday’s Sounders FC versus Portland Timbers match at CenturyLink Field. General gates open at 4:30 p.m. and first kick is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. More than 66,000 tickets have been distributed for the match, the largest crowd in MLS this season.
Recently retired Sounders FC forward Roger Levesque will receive the “Golden Scarf” during a pre-match ceremony. The “Golden Scarf” ceremony was created to honor a group or individual in recognition of their impact in the soccer community and represents the Sounders FC core values of passion, courage and community outreach.
Fans are reminded that both directions of the Alaskan Way Viaduct will be closed from north of the Battery Street Tunnel to the West Seattle Bridge around-the-clock from 6 a.m. Saturday through 4 p.m. Sunday.
