Joevin Jones assist sends Trinidad and Tobago past Roman Torres, Panama in World Cup qualifier

Kevin Molino’s goal off a Joevin Jones assist in the 37th minute led Trinidad and Tobago to a 1-0 win over Panama on Friday in the third round of the Hexagonal in CONCACAF 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifying.

Sounders defenders Jones and Roman Torres each started for T&T and Panama, respectively, and played the full 90 minutes.


T&T picked up their first three points of the Hex after starting 0-2-0, while Panama dropped to 1-1-1 with four points. Mexico will host Costa Rica at 7 p.m. PT on Friday, and the United States will host Honduras at 7:30 p.m. PT.


Trinidad and Tobago will host Mexico on March 28 in the fourth round of the Hex, while Panama will host the U.S.
