Seattle native and former Sounders defender DeAndre Yedlin will earn his 50th United States cap on Tuesday in a friendly against Paraguay at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C. Current Sounders midfielder Cristian Roldan was a part of the camp and is available off the bench.
Yedlin, now with Newcastle in the English Premier League, becomes the 53rd player in U.S. men’s history to reach 50 caps. The 24-year-old made his U.S. debut on Feb. 1, 2014, against Korea.
Yedlin played in 56 matches for the Sounders from 2013-14, recording one goal and six assists.
Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT on FS1 and UniMás.
