The 2021 MLS SuperDraft presented by adidas is set to take place at 11 a.m. PT on Thursday, January 21, with Sounders FC holding the 80th pick in the draft. The newest entrant to Major League Soccer, Austin FC, possesses the first overall pick.
Seattle has a rich history of mining talent out of the SuperDraft. Notable selections include midfielder Cristian Roldan, as well as former player and current broadcaster Steve Zakuani.
Continuing a tradition started in 2020, this year’s SuperDraft will be streamed across MLS channels, including MLSsoccer.com, the MLS app, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram. Tune in for live coverage and expert analysis as a raft of players from the college game enter the professional ranks.
Eligible players include college seniors, Generation adidas signees as well as players who’ve forgone eligibility by competing in domestic professional leagues.
