Months after his final professional game, Zach Scott will lace up his boots one more time.
Scott announced his intention to retire at the end of the season on Thursday after spending his entire career with Seattle. To honor his time with the organization, the Emerald City Supporters and Seattle Sounders FC will host a testimonial match on March 1, 2017, at Memorial Stadium in Seattle. A testimonial is a common practice in English soccer where a club holds a final non-competitive match to honor a departing player who has spent many years with the team.
