NOTES:
- This is the fifth time the Sounders have played in the SCCL. In three of those years, the Rave Green reached the quarterfinals (2011, 2012, 2016). They lost in the quarterfinals in 2011 to Mexican club Santos Laguna, but then reached the semifinals the next year after beating Mexican club Tigres in the quarterfinals, the first time an MLS team beat a Mexican team in the knockout round. In 2016, the Sounders fell to Club America in the quarterfinals.
- Tonight's match marks the Sounders' debuts for fullbacks Waylon Francis and Jordan McCrary. Francis, 27, joined the club after four seasons with Columbus where he recorded 18 assists in 83 regular-season appearances. McCrary, 24, spent the 2017 season with Toronto FC II, starting 19 of 27 appearances with the Reds' USL side. Look for both players to find opportunities to overlap in the Sounders' attack.
- Forward Jordan Morris will look to pick up where he left off in preseason play after tallying two goals against both California United FC and USL side Sacramento Republic FC. The 2016 AT&T Rookie of Year is hungry to take his game to the next level after enduring a frustrating sophomore season with the Rave Green.
