NAVARRO DEPARTURE: Colorado made headlines earlier this month when it shipped forward Rafael Navarro to St. Louis CITY SC in a league-record $12M cash-for-player trade. The 26-year-old starred in his native Brazil for Botafogo and Palmeiras before joining the Rapids in 2023 first on loan and then permanently in 2024. Navarro recorded 44 goals and 16 assists in 114 matches in all competitions in Colorado and had just hit his third consecutive season with double-digit goals.
OPEN CUP SEMIFINAL: The Rapids fell 3-0 at home to St. Louis CITY SC on Wednesday in the U.S. Open Cup Semifinal. It was Colorado’s first USOC Semifinal appearance since 2004.

Whittaker has 59 goals and 28 assists in 258 career appearances in the English pyramid for the likes of Derby County, Swansea City, Lincoln City and Plymouth Argyle.
