Another week and another match on the road for your Sounders FC. With the final four matches of the season upon the club, it's do-or-die as the race to the top of the Western Conference heats up. As always, Brad Evans provides his thoughts before the Sunday afternoon match in the latest edition of his Captain's Notes.
We have four games left with two on the road and two at home. Portland and Houston both won this weekend and things just continue to get even more tight and even more crazy. Our backs are against the wall and we have to get results in the next four matches. I feel like we have said this for the last six or seven weeks, but that's the reality of it. Some things have gone our way and others haven't, so everything remains the same. We approach this game with a full lineup.
We're on the road and that makes things more difficult, but we also know Sporting Kansas City has played the same amount of games that we have in the last week. They need points too, despite having an Open Cup Final to worry about next week. We expect a hungry team, a determined team and one that is looking to pick up a win at home. It's a difficult place to play, but it's a great opportunity for us. We want to get out there, have some fun, play the way that we know we can and keep it to zero.
We have to be ready for a tough task. We're going to get out there, work hard and play our game. Let's go, Sounders!
