The Seattle Sounders are visiting Austin FC on Sunday in their second and final meeting in the regular season. Here is everything you need to know:

WHEN AND WHERE: Kickoff is at 4 p.m. PT (6 p.m. local time) at Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas.

WHERE TO WATCH: The match will be available to watch on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.

WHERE TO LISTEN: The match will air on iHeartMedia Seattle and in Spanish on El Rey 1360AM.

2025 RECORDS AND STANDINGS: Sounders: 12-8-9 (45 points, 5th West), Austin: 11-10-8 (41 points, 7th West)

FORM GUIDE (all competitions, most recent first): Seattle: LDWWW, Austin: WLWWL

PREVIOUS MEETING: The Sounders defeated Austin 2-0 at Lumen Field in Seattle on June 28 in their first game back after the FIFA Club World Cup. Jesús Ferreira and Danny Musovski scored for the Sounders.

SIX-POINTER: Sunday’s match is a massive six-pointer in the Western Conference’s playoff race as Seattle enters four points ahead of Austin. A Sounders win could put Austin almost entirely in the rearview mirror while a loss would see the Texans move within just one point of the Sounders with four matches remaining.

TIME TO REBOUND: The Sounders fell to Inter Miami on Tuesday in what was just their second loss in 17 matches since exiting the FIFA Club World Cup.

VARGAS BREAKOUT YEAR CONTINUES: Defensive midfielder Obed Vargas scored for Seattle in Miami as his sensational season continues. The 20-year-old Mexican international and 2025 MLS All-Star has three goals and five assists in 25 contests.

FINALS BOUND: Austin will be riding a high this weekend after defeating Minnesota United midweek in extra time to advance to the 2025 U.S. Open Cup Final. CJ Fodrey scored at the death in the 120th minute to send Austin through.

LOW-SCORING AFFAIRS: Austin has just 31 goals scored this season, tied for the fewest in the Western Conference and tied for the fourth-fewest in the league. Austin’s defense has been exceptional, however, conceding just 36 times, tied for the third-best mark in the West.

PLAYER TO WATCH: Myrto Uzuni, F

Austin spent north of $12M this summer for Uzuni, who will look to carry the attacking burden especially with Brandon Vazquez injured. The Albanian international has four goals and two assists in his last seven appearances and is hitting his stride as the season winds down.
