The U-18s continued their six-match unbeaten streak (5-0-1) with a 1-0 win over San Juan Soccer Club. Sean Bowman scored the game’s lone goal in the 18th minute when he converted a penalty kick for his 20th goal of the season.
The U-16s would strike first in their matchup with San Juan SC when Alex Bradbury followed up on his own shot with a scoring strike in the 50th minute. The squad continued to dominate possession, but were unable to find the back of the net for a second. A late penalty kick by the away side left the U-16s with a 1-1 result.
Both teams continue home action this weekend at Starfire Sports as the Academy takes on the Portland Timbers on Sunday, March 15. The U-18s continue to fight for the top spot in the Northwest Division at with a 1:00 p.m. PT kick, with the U-16 match to follow at 3:30 p.m. All matches will take place at Starfire Stadium.
