The Seattle Sounders put in one of their most dominant performances in recent memory in a 4-1 rout over St. Louis CITY SC at Lumen Field last Saturday. The Sounders have now taken 10 points from the last four matches and are in fantastic form as they hit the one-third mark of the campaign.

A lot happened over 90 minutes at Lumen Field last weekend. Here are seven things you may have missed.

Club-best xG output

Seattle recorded 31 shots and 4.1 Expected Goals, the most in any Sounders match in club history in American Soccer Analysis’ database (dating back to 2013). That is, it was the most threatening attacking performance the club has ever produced.

Musovski makes it four for four

Forward Danny Musovski hit “rarified air” last weekend, becoming just the fourth Sounder in club history to score in four consecutive matches. He joins legendary Sounders strikers Obafemi Martins, Fredy Montero and current teammate and all-time leading Sounders goalscorer Jordan Morris.

Frei makes it 400

Goalkeeper Stefan Frei earned his 400th appearance in all competitions on Saturday, becoming just the seventh player in league history to record 400 appearances with one club. The 39-year-old is Seattle’s all-time appearance leader.

Nouhou bags second career goal

After sending soundwaves across Major League Soccer in 2022 when he scored his first career MLS goal, Nouhou notched his second career goal against St. Louis CITY in stoppage time to cap the performance. The Cameroonian international also added an assist on the night en route to an MLS Team of the Matchday nod.

Kent on the score sheet

Winger Ryan Kent signed with the Sounders at the end of March and has been working his way back to match fitness. On Saturday, he came on as a second-half substitute and recorded both his first and second career MLS assists in just 33 minutes of action.

Osaze De Rosario debut

Tacoma Defiance forward Osaze De Rosario made his MLS debut on Saturday after joining the First Team on a Short-Term Agreement with the MLS NEXT Pro affiliate. The 23-year-old is the son of former Canada international and all-time MLS great Dwayne, who recorded 104 goals and 57 assists in 343 career matches for the San Jose Earthquakes, Houston Dynamo, Toronto FC, New York Red Bulls and D.C. United.

Schmetzer reaches top 10 in wins

Sounders Head Coach Brian Schmetzer earned his 130th career regular season win last weekend, tying him with Frank Yallop for 10th on the all-time MLS coaching wins list. The Seattle native is in his ninth full season at the helm after taking the interim role in 2016 and leading the Sounders to their first MLS Cup title.
